- Diesel: 1.881 -> 1.923 EUR per litre (+0.042 EUR)

What a full tank costs
At the new prices, 50 litres of petrol cost 85.10 EUR and 50 litres of diesel cost 96.15 EUR. The excise duty on petrol is 0.41759 EUR per litre and on diesel 0.33000 EUR per litre.
Possible cut in excise duties
Slovenia has asked the European Commission to allow it to lower excise duties on motor fuels below the EU minimum for a period of six months. According to available information, the Commission is inclined to accept the request, but approval must also be given by the Council of the EU.
If the request is approved, the excise duty on petrol could be cut by up to 0.2195 EUR per litre, to a minimum of 0.1395 EUR per litre. The excise duty on diesel could be cut by up to 0.225 EUR per litre, to a minimum of 0.105 EUR per litre.
Motorways and expressways
Prices on motorways and expressways are not regulated, and petrol stations set them freely. Prices at these locations can therefore differ from the maximum prices in the rest of the country.
