The government has set the official new fuel prices that apply in Croatia from Tuesday, 20 October 2026. The regulation is valid for seven days. The changes go in different directions: Eurosuper 95 gets slightly cheaper, while diesel and blue diesel become more expensive.
New maximum prices per litre
- Eurosuper 95: 1.74 → 1.73 EUR (-0.01 EUR)
- Diesel: 1.83 → 1.87 EUR (+0.04 EUR)
- Blue diesel: 1.38 → 1.43 EUR (+0.05 EUR)
All prices are in euros per litre. You can follow the current overview on the page fuel prices in Croatia.
What is changing in excise duties and margins
The excise duty on diesel has been reduced by 0.01 EUR per litre. For petrol, by contrast, both the margin and the excise duty have been increased by 0.01 EUR per litre.
The capped margins are 0.1335 EUR per litre for petrol, 0.1045 EUR per litre for diesel and 0.0336 EUR per litre for blue diesel.
Prices without government intervention
Without government intervention, prices would be 1.91 EUR per litre for petrol, 2.18 EUR per litre for diesel and 1.51 EUR per litre for blue diesel. The prescribed maximum prices are therefore lower than those that would apply on an unregulated market.
How weekly price setting works
Fuel prices in Croatia are set every week. The government determines the maximum retail prices for Eurosuper 95 and diesel, and the decision is made on Monday, the day before the prices take effect. The new prices at petrol stations apply from midnight (00:00) on Tuesday.
