North Macedonia: diesel discount of 3 cents a litre

According to the information currently available to us, OKTA will grant wholesale and retail traders a discount on diesel from Tuesday, 20 October 2026. The data is unofficial, so it should be treated as information that has not yet been confirmed.

What is changing

The discount is 2 MKD (≈ 0.03 €) per litre and applies to Eurodiesel BS supplied to wholesalers and retail traders. According to the available information, it will apply from Tuesday, 20 October, to Monday, 2 November 2026.

  • Fuel: Eurodiesel BS
  • Discount: 2 MKD per litre (≈ 0.03 €)
  • Period: 20 October to 2 November 2026

What it means for drivers

The discount is applied to the supply to traders, not directly at petrol stations. Final retail prices are still set by market participants themselves, so it is not yet clear how much of this amount will be passed on to drivers, or at which stations.

In North Macedonia, fuel prices already change several times a month, and four to five times when market movements are strong. They follow global oil prices and the US dollar exchange rate. New prices usually apply from midnight after the decision is made.

Part of a wider package of measures

The measure is part of a series of support measures that OKTA has been carrying out since March 2026. The company says the move is a response to the latest developments on international fuel markets. Total support for the domestic market since March 2026 is expected to reach around 8 million euros.
