Serbia is continuing to apply reduced excise duties on petroleum products. The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that the 25 per cent reduction remains in place and that the extension is valid until Sunday, 8 November. The previous decision was valid until Sunday, 1 November.
Excise duty amounts
Excise duties on motor fuels remain at the levels resulting from the 25 per cent reduction:
- leaded petrol: 57.41 RSD per litre (≈ 0.49 €)
- unleaded petrol: 54 RSD per litre (≈ 0.46 €)
- gas oil (diesel): 55.53 RSD per litre (≈ 0.47 €)
Euro equivalents are calculated at the rate of 1 EUR = 117.2 RSD.
What it means for drivers
As the excise duties are not changing, the tax burden on fuel stays the same as in the previous period. The measure applies only to the excise part of the price, while the final retail price is still affected by market movements.
In Serbia, new maximum retail fuel prices are published on Fridays, a few hours before they take effect. They apply from 15:00 local time and are valid for seven days. The next price announcement is therefore expected on Friday, 6 November, with excise duties unchanged.
