Tifon

Tifon

Tifon was founded in 1998 as a private company focused on fuel distribution and sales. It soon became a well-known name on the Croatian market. A key turning point came in 2007, when MOL Group, the Hungarian energy giant, took over Tifon. This made it part of a wider European network covering energy production, refining and distribution.

Today Tifon is known for its modern petrol stations and focus on service quality. The company continuously invests in technologies that improve the customer experience and ensure high levels of safety and environmental sustainability.

Tifon petrol stations – offer and locations

Tifon operates a network of 48 petrol stations in Croatia, strategically located along main roads and in urban areas. The stations offer a wide range of fuels, including high-quality fuels that meet EU standards, as well as LPG for vehicles.

Besides fuel, Tifon stations offer additional services such as well-stocked shops, cafés and electric vehicle charging points. Many stations have free Wi-Fi and modernised toilets, further raising the standard of service.

Fuel prices

Tifon follows market trends and global changes in oil prices to ensure competitive prices. Prices are adjusted regularly based on market conditions and Croatian regulations. The stations offer standard fuels as well as high-quality EVO fuels designed for modern engines, which mean lower emissions and better economy. Tifon’s fuels are tested by DTC, an independent testing laboratory.

Competition

On the Croatian market, Tifon faces competition from large companies such as INA, Petrol Group (Crodux) and Lukoil. Despite its smaller network of petrol stations, Tifon stands out through its connection with MOL Group, which gives it access to modern technologies and high-quality fuels.

The emphasis is on innovation and sustainability, developing loyalty programmes and adapting its offer to the needs of local communities. What sets it apart from the competition is the option to pay for fuel with cryptocurrencies.

Financial results and employees

In 2023 the company made a net profit of €10,307,370.00, with a net margin of 3.47%. The number of employees grew during the year, and at the end of 2023 the company had a total of 538 employees.

Support from MOL Group further strengthens its financial stability, allowing the company to continue investing in network expansion and environmental projects.
